Driving License Category A1
Driving License Category A1 allows you to drive motorized two-wheeled vehicles. It permits you to drive small motorcycles or mopeds with an engine power no greater than 11 kW.
The procedure to obtain the license is slightly different from other categories. Let's take a look at the steps.
Prerequisites
You need to be at least 16 years old to get a driver's license category A1. This licence allows drivers to drive an easy motorcycle, whereas A2 and A are reserved for larger motor vehicles. You also must complete an initial aid course and complete a theoretical education based on the full program. Different driving schools offer this course. All driving schools follow the same curriculum, even if their fees may differ.
The practical training is made up of several driving lessons. The lessons last between 3 and 4 hours. The instructors will instruct you on the fundamentals of your bike and the fundamental rules of the road. The number of hours of training will depend on your performance and abilities, but the curriculum stipulates a minimum of five hours of training on roads that are federal and four hours of training on country roads. You are also required to attend various special riding lessons, which are designed to improve your ability to handle difficult situations.
Anyone who wants to drive vehicles in the category C must have a licence to drive of category B or better. A person who already has a licence of category B can continue to learn of category A1 using an abbreviated curriculum, but must complete at least 10 theory and 10 driving lessons at a driving school. This is not an option for those with an A1 category licence.
Driving License Category A1 is an excellent option for teenagers looking to get behind the wheel of their own car, or for adults who have been driving for a period of time, but are seeking an alternative way to travel. The restrictions of this type of license are designed to ensure safety for everyone. You can take them off in the event that you prove you can drive larger vehicles safely.
You must possess an official medical certificate in addition to your driver's license. Depending on your medical condition you may be required to pass an eye examination or other tests. You can also upgrade your licence by adding an endorsement. This usually involves passing a knowledge test and sometimes, a skill test.
Training
To obtain a Driving License Category A1, you must pass both the theory and practical test. In addition you must take part in seminars and receive instruction. The course will teach you the fundamental principles of motorcycling and traffic regulations, which you will then be able to apply to your future driving. In the course, you will become familiar with the general tests and materials, as well as the specific additive that includes requirements for each licence category.
Once you have passed the theory and practical tests, you are now able to drive a vehicle with an engine capacity of up to 125cc. Theory test
The Driving License Category A1 exam is a two-part test that includes a theory portion and the practical portion. It is designed to provide you a basic understanding of the highway code and driving abilities. You will need to pass both parts to get your driving license. You can take the tests prior to or after you have completed the mandatory basic training (CBT).
The theory test section includes 50 multiple-choice questions which you have to correctly answer. It is recommended that you prepare for the test thoroughly before you take it, and take a theory course at a reputable driving school or at an ongoing motorcycle training center. After you have passed the exam in the theory section, you can take a practical test. You must have a valid driver's license and evidence of identity to the test center, as well as the vehicle you will be taking the test in. You must wear a helmet and have all necessary safety gear.
You will be issued your driving license within two weeks after you have passed the practical portion of the test. You must show your driving license every time you are asked. You won't be permitted to drive a vehicle other than the one you have on your driving license, and you must renew it at least once every two years.

Practical test

After having passed both the theory and practical test, you'll be issued the License A1. License A1. This license allows you to drive a motorcycle with a maximum displacement of 125 cc, and a power/weight ratio of no more than 11 kW per kilogram. This licence allows you to operate trikes that have engines that is up to 125cc and an engine power/weight ratio of not more than 11 kW per kg.
In addition to the driving test, you must also pass an exam for medical reasons before you can obtain your license. You must show proof that you have taken an initial-aid course and passed an eye-sight test. If you are younger than 18 years old, you must get the permission of your legal guardian or parent to apply for a driving license.
